Dear 4th Grade Families, March 18, 2019
We have a busy week in Room 15! The class is busy working on their biography projects. They will be reading and writing a research essay in class, and creating a puppet and practicing their speech for homework. The project is due on April 12, 2019. Please check out our monthly projects page for more information.
Reports card will be sent home this week in the Tuesday folder. Many things are happening on Wednesday. In the morning, we will be taking our spring pictures. Afterwards, we are off to the Train Museum! In the evening, you and your family are invited to the Family Maker Night--hands-on projects including light play, electronic tinkering, building challenges and more! This is a free event--you won't want to miss it!
On Thursday, 3rd - 6th grade will be participating in the first ever STEAM shuffle at Cobblestone. The class they choose will teach the design process through science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. Some of the classes are: Enchanted Engineering, Art in Balance, STEAMtastic Sports, Natural Disaster, Magical Magnets, Harry Potter and Roller coaster Physics, Design Extraordinaires, and Building the Pyramids Using Simple Machines. Students will go to their STEAM class for six weeks--once a week for 40 minutes during the school day. The kids are super excited to participate. Ask them all about it!
